IVF with Sperm Donation
In IVF using donor sperm, embryos are created by fertilizing the intended mother’s eggs with high-quality donor sperm obtained from internationally accredited sperm banks.
IVF with Sperm Donation provides a safe and reliable path to parenthood when male factor infertility such as severely reduced or absent sperm count, genetic conditions, or poor sperm function, makes conception with partner sperm difficult or medically inadvisable. With donor sperm IVF, the intended mother can experience pregnancy while benefiting from thoroughly screened donor samples and advanced laboratory care at Reproart.
IVF with Donor Sperm is Recommended for:
- Couples with severe male factor issues (e.g., azoospermia, very low motility, or abnormal morphology)
- Couples where the male partner carries a genetic condition that may be inherited
- Couples who have undergone repeated IVF cycles without viable embryos due to sperm-related factors
- Single women seeking a medically guided path to pregnancy
Donor Sperm Program Standards at Reproart
On-Site Donor Sperm Availability: Reproart maintains an inventory of imported donor sperm samples sourced exclusively from internationally accredited sperm banks. This allows patients to select a donor sample directly at the clinic without waiting for international shipments or dealing with logistics. All samples arrive frozen and remain cryopreserved under controlled conditions.
Safety & Screening: Each donor sperm sample is accompanied by comprehensive documentation, including:
- Infectious disease screening
- Psychological and lifestyle assessments
- Physical and phenotypic information
Legal & Ethical Compliance: Donors have no parental rights or legal obligations. Reproart follows international guidelines regarding donor anonymity, documentation, and secure storage.
Flexible Options for IVF with Donor Sperm
To create embryos using donor sperm, the intended mother undergoes ovarian stimulation. Reproart offers two pathways to support different schedules and clinical needs.
Option 1: Begin Ovarian Stimulation in Your Home Country
Intended mothers can start stimulation locally with remote guidance from our medical team. With this approach, patients travel to Georgia only for the egg retrieval (aspiration), typically requiring a 2–7days stay. The donor sperm sample is already available at Reproart and ready for use.
Option 2: Complete the Entire Stimulation Process in Georgia
Patients may choose to undergo the full stimulation protocol at Reproart, allowing for in-person monitoring and continuous supervision by our reproductive endocrinologists. This option usually requires a 10–15 days stay in Georgia. Your selected donor sperm unit will be thawed and prepared on the day of fertilization.
