Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement 2025

At Reproart, we recognize the global scale of modern slavery and human trafficking – the two despicable crimes that have no place in society. Unfortunately, these crimes continue to occur and impact many people worldwide, particularly in developing countries. We understand that any company, irrespective of its industry, faces the risk of becoming unintentionally involved in these crimes through its operations and supply chain.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward modern slavery. We are fully committed to identifying and preventing these crimes within our operations and supply chain.

This statement outlines the steps we have taken to identify potential risks related to modern slavery in our business and to implement measures to prevent these practices.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Reproart is based in Tbilisi, Georgia, with additional branches in Kutaisi and Batumi. We provide safe and ethical treatment options for infertility, including surrogacy and gamete donation, to both local couples and those from abroad. Our supply chains include healthcare providers, international business partners, surrogacy and human gamete donation agencies, legal consultants, and support services necessary for facilitating fertility treatments.

Our Role

We recognize the importance of identifying and eradicating modern slavery and human trafficking within our competitive industry. We also understand that our supply chain may have higher-risk areas depending on geographic locations. We continuously monitor and audit changes in risk levels in our supply chain, ensuring that all parties are treated fairly, honestly, with dignity and respect.

We achieve these goals through risk assessments, policy implementation, supplier due diligence, and raising awareness.

Risk Assessments

We conduct an annual review to assess risks in our supply chain by considering:

  • The risk profile of individual countries according to the GSI (Global Slavery Index)
  • The services provided by our suppliers
  • The presence of vulnerable demographic groups
  • News analysis and insights from labor and human rights organizations

Policies

Reproart implements the following policies to identify and prevent human trafficking and slavery in our operations:

  • Whistleblowing Policy
  • Code of Conduct
  • Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
  • Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Policy
  • Safeguarding Children Policy
  • Deprivation of Liberty and Safeguards (DoLS) Policy

Partner/Contractor Due Diligence for Surrogacy and Gamete Donation Agencies

Reproart regularly conducts due diligence on new partners and contractors during onboarding and on existing partners and contractors. This includes, where appropriate:

  • Assessing risks in the provision of surrogates and egg donors.
  • Auditing partners and contractors regarding their health and safety standards, labor relations, and employee contracts.
  • Requiring improvements to any substandard employment practices.
  • Sanctioning partners and contractors who fail to enhance their performance in line with our requirements.

We require all our partners and contractors to show their commitment to upholding ethical practices and ensuring that their operations are free from risks of slavery or trafficking by confirming that:

  • They do not use any form of forced, compulsory, or slave labor.
  • Their employees work voluntarily and can leave their jobs.
  • They provide each employee with an employment contract and fair pay.
  • They do not require employees to pay a deposit or bond and do not withhold salaries for any reason.
  • They do not require employees to hand over their passports as a condition of employment.

Awareness

Reproart raises awareness about modern slavery issues through training and educating staff members, focusing on:

  • Our commitment to combating modern slavery.
  • Recognizing red flags for potential cases of slavery or human trafficking.
  • The proper procedure for employees to report suspicions of modern slavery.
