Surrogate Care
Fully supported. Always connected.
At Reproart, we know that surrogacy is more than a medical process — it’s a life-changing journey. That’s why our dedicated Surrogate Care Team is involved at every stage, ensuring each surrogate feels informed, cared for, and supported throughout the entire experience.

A Dedicated Surrogacy Department
Over the years, our experience has shown that surrogates feel safest and most supported when their care is handled by a team that understands every detail of the journey. That’s why, beyond our medical staff, Reproart has established a full in-house Surrogacy Department — a specialized internal agency with a structure designed entirely around surrogate wellbeing.
Our department is divided into focused sub-teams based on each stage of the journey:
- Recruitment and Interview Team: Handles initial outreach, interviews, and first contact support
- Preparation & Screening Team: Coordinates all medical evaluations and early-stage counseling
- Pregnancy Support Team: Stays closely involved throughout pregnancy, organizing appointments, monitoring wellbeing, and keeping open communication with intended parents
- Legal and Notarial Team: Manages notarized contract and Power of Attorney (POA)
- Birth & Post-Delivery Services Team: Coordinates with maternity hospitals and assists with post-birth recovery and follow-up
- Logistics Coordination Team: Arranges travel, accommodations, clinic visits, and smooth day-to-day support
Together, these teams form an integrated unit — what we proudly call our in-house surrogacy agency. Each member plays a distinct role in ensuring the surrogate feels respected, informed, and emotionally cared for. Whether it’s arranging a notary visit, answering a question late at night, or walking beside her during labor — someone is always there.
Surrogacy Care: Step by Step
1. Recruitment Process
We begin by identifying women who sincerely wish to become surrogates and meet all medical and legal criteria. Our team reaches out to candidates in Georgia and neighboring countries. Each application is reviewed carefully, focusing not just on health and age, but also on motivation, stability, and readiness. Only those who meet our standards proceed to the next phase.
2. Interviews and Screening
Once a candidate expresses interest, she goes through:
- A detailed interview with our recruitment team
- Medical evaluations with reproductive endocrinologist and gynecologists
- Social and family background review
At this stage, many applicants are screened for medical and social reasons — to ensure safety and preparedness. The surrogate care team is present through every step, arranging visits, guiding conversations, and making sure the process feels safe and clear.
3. Local and International Coordination
We work with both Georgian and international surrogates. For those living abroad, we collaborate with trusted clinics and doctors in their home country. Screening, preparation, and follow-ups are conducted with full alignment to Reproart’s protocols, often via telemedicine.
4. Intended Parent Matching
After passing initial evaluations, the surrogate signs an internal agreement that outlines key responsibilities and program steps. She is then introduced to a selection of intended parent profiles. Matching happens only when both sides feel comfortable — it’s a mutual decision, built on transparency and trust.
5. Extended Medical Preparation
Before embryo transfer, surrogates begin a more advanced phase of clinical preparation:
- Outpatient Screening Procedures (OSP)
- Endometrial Preparation for embryo transfer
- Regular clinic visits for monitoring
The surrogate is closely guided during this time. Our coordinators assist with logistics, provide emotional support, and ensure she is well-informed and comfortable throughout the process.
6. Surrogacy Contract
Before the embryo transfer, a notarized surrogacy contract is signed between the surrogate and the intended parents. This legally binding agreement defines responsibilities, parental rights, medical coverage, and consent. It is signed either in person or via Power of Attorney, with legal representatives present as needed to ensure everything is fully understood.
7. Embryo Transfer
Once the surrogate is ready, the embryo transfer is scheduled. She is provided rest and support. Our coordinators stay closely connected, ready to answer any questions along the way.
8. Pregnancy Monitoring
Throughout pregnancy, the surrogate attends regular check-ups and receives ongoing support. This includes:
- Scheduling and attending all necessary medical appointments
- Assistance with medications, nutrition, and daily needs
- Scheduled calls with intended parents
There is always someone available to answer questions, day or night — including weekends and holidays. Our care coordinators maintain close, ongoing communication, offering consistency and calm throughout the pregnancy.
9. Community
We believe in recognizing surrogates for the incredible role they play. Special events — such as holiday celebrations or Children’s Day gatherings with their own kids — help create a sense of community and appreciation.
We also conduct annual anonymous ISO 9001:2015 certified satisfaction surveys, allowing surrogates to evaluate their experience and help us improve. Their voices shape how we grow.
10. Childbirth
Childbirth takes place in trusted maternity hospitals. Reproart’s doctors work in direct coordination with the hospital’s obstetric teams.

12. Post-Birth Follow-Up
After delivery, our team checks in with each surrogate — offering support, answering questions, and helping with the emotional transition.
Many surrogates stay connected with our clinic long after the program ends. Some refer friends or even return as members of our care team.
