The embryo is created through <a href=\"https:\/\/reproartclinic.com\/en\/services\/in-vitro-fertilization-ivf\/\">In Vitro Fertilization (IVF<\/a>) using the intended parents\u2019 or donors\u2019 gametes, and is then transferred into the surrogate\u2019s uterus. There are two main types of surrogacy:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Gestational surrogacy<\/strong>, where the surrogate has no genetic link to the baby. The embryo is created using the eggs and sperm of the intended parents or donors.<\/li><li><strong>Traditional surrogacy<\/strong>, where the surrogate\u2019s own egg is used, making her genetically related to the child.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Only gestational surrogacy is legal in Georgia. This means the surrogate does not share any genetic connection with the baby she carries.
